Mad City Money

Join us for a Mad City MoneyTM Workshop Wednesday, Oct. 26, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. This session is open to all League Annual Meeting and Convention attendees, teachers, credit union professionals and youth. the Mad City MoneyTM is a 2½-hour hands-on simulation that appeals to youth and gives them a taste of the real world-complete with occupation, salary, spouse, student loan debt, credit card debt, and medical insurance payments.

2011 Member Financial Literacy Award

CNYIB Seeking Nominations for 2011 Member Financial Literacy Award
Nominations Due September 14, 2011

Is your credit union doing fantastic work in the area of youth financial literacy? Can your credit union use $250 towards its financial literacy efforts? Then nominate your credit union for the CNYIN's Member Financial Literacy Award.

This year, the CNYIN, in partnership with the Richard Myles Johnson Foundation, the state foundation for credit unions in California and Nevada, will select two credit unions that have demonstrated their commitment to financial literacy and present each with a $250 award for their successful financial literacy efforts. The nominee credit unions must be CNYIN members. The awards will be announced at the CNYIN Breakout Session at the California Credit Union League's Annual Meeting on October 26, 2011.

The Member Financial Literacy Award was developed to honor California and Nevada credit unions that have excelled at providing youth financial literacy.

All CNYIN members are encouraged to nominate your credit union for this award. Nominations must be submitted by September 14, 2011.
